Working with young people is incredibly rewarding and I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to collaborate with numerous inspiring young individuals and their families as a therapist, but also in various other roles over the past 20 years.

What I find truly remarkable about the Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy model is its ability to empower young people to instigate positive changes in their lives. This approach encourages them to take charge of their own transformations, discovering their unique strengths and capabilities. By gaining insights into the potential of their powerful brains, they acquire the tools necessary to bring about positive, healthy changes.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than 20 years in the education sector, focusing on nurturing the well-being of young people as a Head of Year and Assistant Headteacher. My passion led me to specialise in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and concerns related to Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH), ultimately becoming a SENCo.

These experiences have complemented my therapeutic practice beautifully, equipping me with a deep understanding of engaging with young people of all ages and the ability to employ a diverse range of resources and interaction techniques to ensure that we make the very best of our time together.

My clients span from children as young as 7 years old to young adults. I have substantial experience in working with individuals with Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, and cognitive and learning difficulties.

Before deciding to work with me, I offer a free, one hour consultation, which allows them (and you) to get to know me, discuss their desired changes, and ask any questions about the therapeutic process. I also explain, in an easy to digest way, how the brain works to create their specific struggles and what we can do to help them feel happier, calmer and more confident in themselves.

I take pride in being approachable, friendly, and positive, and having the privilege to make a meaningful impact on a child’s journey is truly special. I couldn’t imagine a more fulfilling role.

Located in Ottershaw (Surrey), I offer services both in-person and online and for your peace of mind, I hold a fully enhanced DBS certificate and adhere to the Code of Ethics of the professional associations to which I belong, including:

  • National Board for Modern Psychotherapy (NBMP)
  • Association For Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AFSFH)
  • National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH)
  • Complementary and Natural Health Council (CNHC)

In addition to my work, I enjoy meeting new people and spending quality time with my family and friends. You might also find me running or playing on a Netball court in the local area, as these are activities I am passionate about.
