Hello, I’m Harriet, and I feel incredibly privileged to be part of The Youth Fairy team; helping children, teens, and young adults navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience in today’s busy world.
As parents, we all want our children to be happy, confident and resilient—but sometimes, life’s challenges can make that feel out of reach.
As a mum of three, I know first-hand how overwhelming it can be when your child struggles with anxiety, low confidence, or emotional challenges—especially when the right support feels really hard to find. Watching children experience stress, panic attacks, or low self-esteem can be heart-breaking, and as parents, we often feel powerless to help. That’s why I’m so passionate about empowering children with practical tools and strategies to help them feel calmer, happier, and more in control—not just for now, but for their future too.
My journey into Solution Focused Therapy began when my own daughter suffered from severe anxiety and panic attacks. A friend recommended we try Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, and I was amazed at the transformation in just six sessions. That experience was life-changing—not just for her, but for me too. It inspired me to train as a therapist so I could help other children and families experience the same positive change.
One of the things I love most about Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy, is that we don’t dwell on the past—because we’re not going that way! Instead, we focus on building confidence, reducing anxiety, and creating a positive future. Change can feel challenging, but with a calm, compassionate, and solution-focused approach, I will guide your child towards their goals, helping them to unlock their full potential.
You’ll find me in my cosy therapy room, nestled in the garden, designed to be a safe and welcoming space. With comfy seating, calming activities like colouring and mindfulness tools, and a warm, friendly atmosphere, I help children feel at ease from the very first session. Creating a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of what I do, allowing children to feel truly supported as they work towards a happier, calmer mindset.
I offer a free initial consultation, either in person or online, where we can chat about how I can support your child. I’ll also explain how the brain works, because when children (and parents!) understand what’s happening inside their minds, it makes managing emotions and behaviours so much easier.
For me, this knowledge is one of the most valuable tools we can have—not just for children, but for us as parents too. When we understand how anxiety and stress affect the brain, we can respond with greater empathy and help our children build resilience and emotional wellbeing.
I hold an enhanced DBS certificate, and am fully insured and bound by the Code of Ethics of the professional associations to which I belong, including:
